CAD Design

As park and playground design becomes more intricate, so does the information needed to complete the design. Sports & Recreation Associates offers CAD design services to those who require computer assisted design in their overall vision. Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) help you move your next project from the concept stage to becoming a reality.

Sports & Recreation Associates will evaluate playgrounds to identify potential hazards. We inspect, measure and photograph each playground and prepare a Report Card. In order to receiving a passing grade, the playground must, among others, be free of trip hazards, have adequate fall zones, gaps and spaces on the equipment must be eliminated, electrical wires must be secured and dangerous tree limbs must be removed. If a playground fails an inspection, we contact the owner by letter and detail the hazards so the they can be repaired.

Sports & Recreation Associates has extensive experience building all types of sports surfaces, including basketball courts. We can design any size court to fit your needs, including full-size regulation courts and half courts. A standard, regulation size basketball court is 50' wide by 94' long, slightly smaller than a typical tennis court. However, the construction and color systems used to construct tennis courts are also used on volleyball and basketball courts.
